TOILET PAPER IN THE NEWS : How to get more toilet paper than you’ll ever
need. I’ve talked about coupons a lot with you. I’ve always felt using
them is the right thing to do. But now I’ve seen a group of people that
say it’s the only thing to do. I happened upon TLC’s show “Extreme
Couponing” and needless to say, I was intrigued. The people who they have
highlighted on this show never buy anything without a coupon and actually brag
that the stores have paid them to shop there. I’ve learned that Americans
throw away $57 billion worth of coupons every year. These extreme couponers go
looking for those coupons that you’ve tossed. And they will dumpster dive
to find them, if necessary. The key is to stock up on items that you use and will
not expire before you have a chance to use them. They chart weekly store circulars
in order to do this. I didn’t get to see the whole show but the one who
amazed me was Amanda. Now she was in the store for six hours. She had so many
items that the register crashed because she had surpassed the number of items
that were allowed in one transaction. The transaction limit was 1000 items.
